To Fall With You

Design by Grace O'Grady

I stand upon a ledge I did not seek,

With you beside me, smiling at the view

My hands are trembling and my knees grow weak,

And still I find I’m leaning close to you.

.

To love is to be seen without disguise,

To offer up the soft unguarded place,

To risk the wound that lives behind the eyes

And trust another with your unveiled face.

.

But oh, the air is sweet beyond the edge,

And falling feels like truly taking flight.

I lose my grip upon the narrow ledge

And find my fear has turned to pure delight.

.

So let me leap without a net below.

To fall with you is all I need to know.
